1. Diabetes insipidus

2. Posterior Pituitary Gland: Diabetes Insipidus:
- They are losing a lot of water:
• polyuria
• polydipsia
• dehydration
• fluid/electrolyte imbalance
remember! your s/s are going to look like dehydration
3. Pheochromocytoma
- never palpate or can give pt a massive rush of catecholamines (epinephrine)
▪ Do not smoke
▪ Do not drink caffeine
▪ Do not change position suddenly
Any of the above can cause a hypertensive crisis (closely monitor their BP!)
4. Hypothyroidism
- INCREASED
▪ TSH
▪ Serum thyroglobulin level (Thyroid Cancer)
DECREASED
▪ T3, T4

- ▪ Serum thyroglobulin level
6. Hyperthyroidism aka Grave's disease
- INCREASED
▪ T3, T4
DECREASED
▪ TSH
