Why does latrogenic osteoporosis occur
- Inadvertently induced by a Dr of surgeon or by medical tx (hormone therapy, heparin,
lithium etc). Could occur due to trying to treat a disease or type of cancer
Why does regional osteoporosis occur?
- It is confined to a certain segment of skeleton and the cause is unknown. This type is
associated with disuse or immobilization (astronauts)
