Confidence Intervals
Confidence interval (CI) is a type of estimate that consists of an interval of numbers,
whereby a given sample of data set is used to calculate the range ofvalues, and “is likely
toinclude (an) unknown population parameter” (Holmes, Illowsky& Dean, 2017, p. 334). CI
“indicate the precision or reliability of…observations”, besides offering “a more dependable
alternative to conclusions based on the P value”(Hazra, 2017). Thus, in this assignment, the
purpose is to determine the CI for height data previously obtained for a sample of ten people
comprising of males only between the ages of 18 – 25 years, who are sick at a hospital in my
area
