Chemotherapy - Treatment of cancer cells with the use of chemical agents that damages cell DNA and regulation. Systemic effects but can cause damage to normal health cells. Alkylating Agents - Inhibits cell division Antimetabolites - Counterfeit metabolites that fool cancer cells impairs cell division Antimitotic Agents - Interfere with the formation and actions of microtubules so cells cannot complete mitosis during cell division Anti-tumor Agents - Drugs that were originally developed as antibiotics that have effects on cancer cells. they damage the cell's DNA and interrupt DNA/RNA synthesis
